Questions we hear a lot

Short answers about moving to Microsoft Teams Phone with ZIRO.
What does ZIRO do?

ZIRO moves company phone systems off Cisco, Avaya, Mitel and other older systems onto Microsoft Teams Phone, then runs them. Our software maps the old system before anything moves, our platform lets your helpdesk make changes safely, and our team can run it for you. We have 200+ enterprise customers and 16 years in enterprise voice.

How do you avoid an outage during the move?

We map every number, device and call path before anything moves, including 911, paging, fax and door phones. Each site cuts over on a planned night, with a way back if something goes wrong.

Who runs it after cutover?

Your choice. Your helpdesk makes day-to-day changes in our platform, or our team runs it for you.

How long does a move take?

It depends on how many sites you have and how fast you want to go. Discovery comes first. Then each site cuts over in one planned event, at the pace you choose.

Do we need new licenses for Teams Phone?

Often not. Teams Phone is part of Microsoft 365 E5, and an add-on for E3. You'll still need phone numbers and calling minutes.

We're on Cisco and not ready to move. Can ZIRO help?

Yes. We make changes on your current Cisco system safer today, with no migration decision attached. When you're ready, the same team takes you to Teams Phone.

How is ZIRO different from Microsoft, a carrier, or a management tool?

Microsoft sells the Teams Phone license, not the move or the day-to-day running. Carriers sell the phone line. Management tools change settings but don't move you or check that a setting actually works. ZIRO does the move and the running, inside your own Microsoft tenant.

Can we buy ZIRO through Microsoft Marketplace?

Yes. ZIRO Provisioning Manager is listed on Microsoft Marketplace, so you can buy it alongside the rest of your Microsoft stack, and it's MACC-eligible.

Does ZIRO go over budget?

No. Every move is fixed fee. The price we quote for the move is the price you pay.
