Zions Bancorporation Moves 135 Sites Off Avaya With Its Own Team at the Controls
Challenge
Zions had to be off Avaya by the end of June.
As a bank, its security policies meant no outside vendor would be handed the keys to the environment. The move had to happen without ZIRO doing the hands-on work.
Approach
We didn't ask for the keys. We built a repeatable process, the automation and the documentation, so Zions' own team could run the branch rollout themselves.
Along the way we found 1,900 dormant users, out of roughly 3,000 carried on Avaya, and recommended not licensing them on Teams Phone.
Solution
Zions moved 2,646 users across 135 sites from Avaya to Microsoft Teams Phone in 20 cutovers over six months.
