Ulta Beauty Avoids a Three-Year Cisco Lock-In With Microsoft Teams Phone
Challenge
Ulta Beauty was running an end-of-life Cisco platform, and the renewal would have locked it in for another three years.
The environment was largely unmanaged and the source data was thin. Before anything could move, someone had to work out what was really there.
Approach
Most of the early work was building an accurate picture of the estate. Ulta carried 4,700 licenses, but about 4,000 people actually used the phone. We sized the migration to them, not to the license count.
Solution
We moved Ulta's headquarters and distribution centers to Microsoft Teams Phone in 10 cutovers over four months, including 10 auto attendants and 10 call queues.
