Challenge

Avaya support cost $300,000 a year when the bank's project lead joined. It had tripled to $900,000, and the next renewal was heading past $1 million, with end of support closing in and a May 2026 renewal as the deadline.

A largely remote workforce was still being charged for desk phones.

Approach

We planned six cutovers across 61 sites, covering 20 auto attendants and 15 call queues, and ported 1,500 numbers.

Project management, planning, solution design and execution were all delivered at a very high level.

Solution

The bank moved to Microsoft Teams Phone in six months. The issue tracker stayed nearly empty after cutover, and the war room the bank had planned was barely needed.
